Terms of Use

JnU Teachers is an independent, student-run platform for Jagannath University students to give structured feedback on their teachers. It is not operated, controlled, or endorsed by the university administration. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

This platform is for currently enrolled JnU students only. That is, students enrolled in professional programs are not eligible. Sign-up requires a photo of a valid student ID card, which an admin reviews before your account is approved. Accounts found to use false information may be rejected, held for correction, or removed.

Each rating is a fixed 12-question form answered Agree, Neutral, or Disagree. When rating a teacher, you agree to:

• Answer based on your own genuine experience in that teacher's classes.
• Rate only teachers you have actually been taught by, within your own department.
• Not coordinate with others to inflate or deflate a teacher's rating.
• Not create or use more than one account.

You may revisit a teacher's profile and update your answers at any time. Doing so replaces your previous submission for that teacher- it does not create an additional entry, and only your most recent answers count toward that teacher's score.

Your identity is never shown alongside a rating. Teacher profiles display only aggregated results- an overall star rating, a star rating per category, and the percentage of students who agreed with each individual question. No individual student's answers are ever listed.

We reserve the right to review rating patterns for signs of abuse- such as coordinated manipulation, duplicate accounts, or ratings submitted for a teacher a student was never taught by- and to remove ratings or suspend accounts found to violate these terms.

You retain ownership of your account information. By submitting ratings, you grant this platform the right to display them, anonymously and in aggregate form only, for as long as your account or the platform remains active.

Jagannath University does not operate an open credit system, and students cannot choose their courses, sections, or teachers. This platform has no role in course registration, section assignment, or any official university process, and ratings here do not influence those outcomes.

Ratings reflect individual student opinions and experiences, not verified facts. This platform makes no guarantee about the accuracy of any rating and is not liable for decisions made based on information shown here.

These terms may be updated as the platform changes. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.
